The ARES General Chemical Laboratory is a general use facility that contains equipment, glassware, and chemicals available to all properly trained and approved users. Facilities include a Milli-Q water purification system, high-speed centrifuge, drying oven, analytical balance, high-temperature furnace, as well as two fume hoods for chemical use.

Inside the General Chemistry Laboratory: This is a general purpose laboratory that serves the needs of ARES scientists in Research and Curation. The lab contains a variety of inorganic and organic materials used for sample preparation and synthesis experiments, fume hoods, Milli-Q water, a furnace, a drying oven, centrifuges, and counter space for performing experiments.
