Biography

Tom Prior is the group manager of the Mission Science Group and the project manager for the Hypervelocity Impact Technology (HVIT) Project under the JSC Engineering, Technology and Science (JETS) contract supporting the Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science (ARES) Division at the Johnson Space Center. Tom joined the HVIT team in 1995 as spacecraft risk analyst for micrometeoroid and orbital debris (MMOD) impacts and now he oversees the JETS contractor activities related to orbital debris modeling, hypervelocity impact testing, post-flight MMOD damage inspection, and MMOD impact risk assessment.
