Biography

Before Rachel came to Johnson Space Center she was both a student and an employee of University of Houston. She worked in the isotope geochemistry lab and specialized in Re/Os separation and analysis via TIMS (Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry). She studied Martian meteorites at both the University of Houston as well as at NASA's Johnson Space Center. She first started her career as a meteorite processor in 2015.  Rachel now works in a variety of labs, but she primarily works with the Cosmic Dust, Hayabusa2 and Osiris RE-x teams and specializes in the handling and manipulation of small particles of astromaterials.
