Biography
Kevin Hoffman is a Risk Analysis Engineer for the Hypervelocity Impact Technology (HVIT) group at the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC). Kevin’s work involves assessing the risk of failure due to an impact from a micrometeoroid or orbital debris (MMOD) particle for NASA and commercial spacecraft, both manned and unmanned. The risk assessments are used to design and improve MMOD impact protection systems for the spacecraft. Kevin also supports post flight analysis of spacecraft that have been exposed to the space environment, to quantify and study MMOD impacts.
