Biography
J. Emmanuel Torres is a Technology Development Engineer at NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) within the Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science (ARES) Division. He supports Astromaterials Curation Engineering (ACE), where he designs, develops and implements engineering solutions and technologies for the precise handling and preservation of astromaterial samples, advancing contamination control and mission readiness for lunar, Martian, asteroid, and cometary sample return. He also serves as a Robotics Engineer for Astromaterials Curation Robotics (ACR), developing remote sample handling systems and advancing automation technologies to enhance curation methodologies
