NASA will send you the Sample Disk package(s) via USPS registered, restricted mail 7-10 days prior to your request date. This will only occur after NASA has received your completed and approved Loan Agreement and Security Form with original signatures.
Upon receipt of the Sample Disk package(s), immediately sign and return the Sample Assignment form included in your package. This is a requirement as it notifies NASA the Sample Disks have been received.
Once you receive the Sample Disks, you are responsible for the safety and security of the Sample Disks and the package contents. You must ONLY use the Sample Disks as outlined in your signed Loan agreement/Security Form
The Sample Disks must be with you at all times unless they are locked away in the approved safe or vault that meets NASA guidelines, and the Sample Disks may never go to a home for any reason.
You must return the Sample Disks and all received package contents via prepaid registered mail, using the original shipping box.
Promptly report any sample loss or damage to Mary Luckey, the NASA Education Sample curator at 281-483-3154 or 281-483-3870.
