Activity Overview
This activity is designed to introduce and help learners build knowledge about meteorites, meteorite-related locations, and NASA's Antarctic Meteorite Collection. The meteorites curated in NASA's collection are collected during Antarctic Search for Meteorites (ANSMET) expeditions.
This activity is designed to be used in both formal and informal environments.

- Meteorite Map Challenge Activity Board: Activity board available to print in two sizes (11”x17” or 22”x34”).
- Educator Brief: Step-by-step educator instructions for activity use in formal and informal education settings.
- Number Pieces: Resource enabling facilitator to print number pieces for use with either sized activity board.
- Bonus Challenge A Cards: Fun fact cards (for use with either sized activity board) that learners can read and place alongside each corresponding meteorite-related image on the activity board.
- Bonus Challenge B Cards: Optional challenge cards that allow learners to test their geography knowledge by answering each activity board question with a corresponding name for its location. Learners can check their answers, as well as explore and learn more using information and QR codes on the back of each card.
