An Experimental petrologist interested in the evolution of planetary interiors. Work at Johnson Space Center (NASA) is focused on the crystallization of the lunar magma ocean, and the role fractional crystallization played in the formation of lunar lithologies. Other interests in the field of planetary science include investigating the genetic relationships between primitive martian meteorite lithologies to determine the nature of the martian mantle, and trace element partitioning studies in lunar and martian basaltic systems.
