Dan currently serves as Deputy Director for the Science Applications, Research, & Development (SARD) Department of the Engineering and Sciences Contract Group (JETS) managing a wide range of scientific services provided to ARES and the planetary science community. Starting in 1988, he has served in various roles as a laboratory research scientist, Principle Scientist, Chief Scientist, and Project Manager prior to becoming Deputy Director in 2008.
Dan has actively participated in planetary research for twenty five years in the field of noble gas mass-spectrometry studying the chronology and isotope geochemistry of lunar and meteorite samples and has co-authored over forty publications.
