Extremophiles

About this lesson
As scientists look for life elsewhere, we become more aware that life is tenacious and can survive in extreme environments. Students will experiment to find a range of tolerance in a simple test with yeast.

1. It's Just Right (Experiment with temperature tolerance in organisms.)

An activity that experiments with organisms in extreme environments would be logical. We are experimenting with activities that aren't working yet.  Please contact us if you have ideas.

Microbes live in these extreme environments on Earth.
Could they be in other parts of our solar system?
